Good Influence Fund for Racial Justice

Goal thermometer

Betches Media stands with the Black Lives Matter movement and against police brutality.

Here are four organizations that have a history of addressing systemic racism, racial and criminal injustice, and fighting on behalf of BIPOC. Your donations are split evenly between the organizations to help further their work and advocacy efforts.

Here’s why donating to these organizations is important:

Campaign Zero: Campaign Zero has created research-based policy solutions demonstrating how legislators can work to end police violence. They provide users with a tool to track how states have responded to and enacted legislation aimed to eliminate police violence and gives individuals tools to contact their representatives to push reform legislation.

The Bail Project: The Bail Project works under the assumption of innocence until proven otherwise to fight mass incarceration and promote criminal justice reform in 24 cities across the United States. They provide free assistance to those individuals who are eligible for release while awaiting trial but cannot pay the bail that would allow them to do so. To date, they have paid bail for upwards of 10,500 low-income individuals.

NAACP: The NAACP is committed to eliminating and fighting back against systemic racism and injustice throughout the United States. By lifting the voices of local organizations across the country, the NAACP works to increase political power and further advocacy to combat systemic racism in the US.

ACLU: The ACLU has consistently been a leader in Civil Liberties movements and battles throughout the country. In addition to their other initiatives, the ACLU has stressed their commitment to seeking justice on behalf of police violence victims. Their voting rights project also works to combat voter suppression efforts that disproportionately disenfranchise people of color.
